Betty “June” Blanford, 84 of Temperance, MI, died Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at Hickory Ridge of Temperance surrounded by her loving family. Born March 27, 1932, in Car Settlement, MI, she was the daughter of Oscar and Florence (Norton) Sellon. She was a 1950 graduate of Mishawaka High School in Mishawaka, IN, where she was a member of the Little Lulu’s. June married Kenneth J. Blanford on September 6, 1952. She loved art and enjoyed painting and raising her children. She was the greatest Mom ever. June was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Temperance.
June is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Kenneth; children, Tenley Hauser, Tracy Coleman, Tim (Jeanne) Blanford, Ted (Laura) Blanford and Tricia (Carl) Herzig; brother, Doug Sellon; sisters, Dorothy Wasio and Jean (Jack) Pingle; grandchildren, Brandi, Shawna, Chelsea, Devon, MaKenna and Isla. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Virginia Russell.
Visitation will be from 1-5 pm Sunday, May 1, 2016, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where a memorial service will follow at 5:00 pm. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio. www.pawlakfuneralhome.com
